A joyful noise was made to our Lord by those brought together by our own Dr. Abe. The fabulous concert brought together those from many faiths on November 3rd.
A wonderful service was held with our Christian family from the Moravian Churches. Synergy in action.
Join us on Sunday October 14th for an evening of faith driven synergy as we worship with the Moravian Churches of Wisconsin at Divine Word/Pentecost. We will have Sunday School for the young and young at heart at 3 PM, a service at 4 PM and a potluck afterwards.
Our Moravian brothers and sisters in Christ will be caravaning from Door County and other parts of the state. There are many shared tradtions we look forward to renewing together.
This has been a long period of transition for all in the Divine Word/Pentecost parish community. We found ourselves with challenges. We joined together to take on these challenges. More challenges have arisen and yet as the classic hymn says ‘we shall overcome’.
In the process we have grown in faith. We have grown in strength. We have become a much more tight knit community. In the process we have found other faith communities like minded in their journey with Christ.
This journey has led us to an exciting time of growth, outreach and partnership. We are joining together in communion with the Moravian Churches of Wisconsin for worship, service and community. It is a new model bursting with exciting potential.
Join us as we do as Martin Luther King said “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
